Affiliate disclosure
How affiliate links work on this site, which retailers we use, and the lines we will not cross.
Last updated 2026-06-11
Freshie Ferment is editorial reference, funded in part by affiliate links. When you click certain links to gear and equipment and then make a purchase, this site may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra and helps keep the site running and free.
What we link to
We link to durable fermentation equipment — crocks, weights, airlock lids, jars, scales, thermometers, heat mats, and pH testing — through Amazon Associates (tag veryation-20). We deliberately do not put affiliate links on cultures, starters, or the ferments themselves; those belong with specialist suppliers, fresh.
How we choose
We recommend categories of gear we would use ourselves, chosen to match the technique a guide is teaching. Links point to category searches, not to single hand-picked products we have been paid to feature. We are never compensated to recommend a specific brand, and a commission never changes what we say about a piece of equipment.
Future partners
We are an approved Awin publisher (ID 2918651) and may add fermentation-supply and equipment merchants there as partnerships are approved. This page will name them when they go live.
